FAQ

  • What are Waterproof Tags?

Waterproof Tags are identification tags that are printed on polypropylene plastic. The material is waterproof - and can be immersed in water, or left in outdoor conditions subject to hot and cold weather conditions.

  • Can I print on the tags?

Our material requires special printing techniques and is not suitable for conventional laser printers, photocopiers and fax machines due to danger of melting at high temperatures.

  • Can the tags be recycled?

Our polypropylene tags are PP5 recyclable and can be recycled in most areas. However, you should always check with your local authority to ensure they are recyclable in your area.

  • How long will the tags last?

Inks will fade over long periods of time when exposed to light. Our black ink is most fade resistant while red, yellow and orange are more likely to fade when operating in direct sunlight.

Material can also crack and tear with rough handling and direct sunlight over time. Allow slack in loop when attaching tags with cable ties and avoid sudden jerking at holes.

  • Are the tags durable in cold weather?

In weather conditions below freezing, the tags can become brittle, and should be handled with care when frozen. Avoid hard and repetitive creasing especially when tags are frozen.
